Frequently asked questions

Do digital nomad visas count towards the 90/180 rule?+

No. A national long-stay visa or residence permit lets you stay in the issuing country beyond 90 days. Travel to other Schengen countries is still limited to 90 days in any 180.

Are these income thresholds exact?+

They are based on 2025 published figures and are tied to minimum wages that change annually. Consulates may also require savings, insurance and proof of remote employment. Always check the current official threshold.
